An article pusblished in the February 2008 issue of Natural Solutions cites an Isreali study which has found a substantial link between cell phone radiation and cellular damage.
“We use them (cell phones) everywhere…And until now, most evidence supported the safety of cell phones. But in a groundbreaking study, researchers in Isreali have found that cell phone radiation does damage the body’s cells.”
“The scientists exposed human cell cultures to radiation with far less power that that in cell phones and it resulted in the formation of free radicals, which activated an enzyme that has been linked to cancer. ”
One of the researchers, Rony Seger, stated that “the significance (of the study) lies is showing that human cells do react to cell phone radiation”.
Despite this type of research evidence, the FDA and the cell phone industry keep reiterating to the public the slogan that there is no evidence that proves radiation from cell phones is harmful.
The article suggests taking precautionary measures when using a cell phone, such as limiting talk time and keeping the cell phone away from your body when not in use.
